'Rekonzile' is a community theatre production to be performed at the Seymour Centre, Sydney, in September.
'Rekonzile' will bring a host of dance companies and musicians together to recount the story of reconciliation through the eyes of three Urban Aboriginal youth.
It's being choreographed by dancer Kerry Johnson from the Blaqceed Dance Company and will recount the experience of reconcilation through the eyes of three Aboriginal youth, including Rhimi Johnson Page (son of Bangarra founder Steven Page); Merinda Beale and Ryka Satrick.
We're seeking a Conga/stand up drummer who can attend rehearsals and work with a Cellist and didge players to score a number of pieces for dance.
The script for the show includes four short pieces that need to be scored equalling about 12 minutes of music:

The rehearsals take place on Saturdays between 12-4pm, most likely at Redfern Town Hall.
The next rehearsal we hope the drummer can attend will be Saturday July 19.
There will be remuneration for the performer, though as a community production you can appreciate that it will be fair but not what might be expected in an orchestra.
If you play drums or know someone who does can you forward this email or contact me via email or the number below.
Regards
Joel Beasant
Music coordinator.
